Learn how to use Colab Cloud to sync your Co(lab) settings across devices.

Getting Started

  1. Create an account - Sign up at cloud.blackboard.sh/register
  2. Verify your email - Check your inbox for a verification link
  3. Download Co(lab) - Get the desktop app from blackboard.sh
  4. Sign in to Co(lab) - Use your Colab Cloud credentials in the desktop app
  5. Start syncing - Your settings will automatically sync across all your devices

Features

Settings Sync

Colab Cloud automatically syncs your Co(lab) preferences, themes, keybindings, and workspace settings across all your devices. Changes made on one device are instantly available on all others.

Multi-Device Support

Connect up to 2 devices on the Free plan. Each device is tracked separately, and you can manage your connected devices from your dashboard.

Cloud Storage

Free accounts include 100 MB of cloud storage for settings, preferences, and small files. This is enough for most users' configuration needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does settings sync work?

When you make changes to your Co(lab) settings, they're automatically uploaded to Colab Cloud. Other devices signed into the same account will download and apply these changes automatically.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Your passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a high work factor. We never store or have access to your plaintext passwords.

What happens if I lose access to my account?

Use the password reset feature to regain access. You'll need access to the email address associated with your account.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request account deletion from your dashboard. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers.

API Reference

Colab Cloud provides a REST API for the Co(lab) desktop application. The API is not currently available for third-party use.
